It may induce chronic and severe psychiatric disorder that requires expert management because to its affinity for brain systems underlying cognitive and complex behavioural activities. Traumatic brain damage is a hallmark of various neuropsychiatric illnesses and may foster novel ideas for neurodegenerative disease.
